The glass industry requires limestone and dolomite that are very low in chromatic elements such as Iron and are closely calibrated to fully participate in the firing section of the process.  

Calcium carbonate and dolomite are essential constituent elements of flat and hollow glass, glass fibre and glass wool, and optical glass.
