The pelletization

Crushed limestone and dolimite are used to make traditional pellets as well as direct reduction pellets. The pellets will contain all constituents required in the blast furnace slag.

Finely ground limestone is used as a fluxing agent in the mineral mix. The agglomerate contains elements which will form teh required blast furnace slag. If the productivity of the agglomeration process must be improved, lime will partly replace limestone.  If flue gas desulfurization is necessary, the injection of limestone during the gas treatment will provide the solution.
